Water Liliesby posthumousComment: I think this is great shot. I bet it would have scored very well in a "blurry" challenge and I suspect the reason it did not score well here is because it does not conform to the stereotypic "street photo". There is lot of things to look at in this photo; elements, colors, shapes, action, etc. The plant in the foreground is great. This is not tongue in cheek at all. |

Wonderingby LalliSigComment: It it wasn't because it is winter time in Iceland I would bet this is a LARUS (with his famous 1.2 lens), unless it really is Larus forcing her to pretend she is not freezing. Great picture. I am not voting because I am in the race. I'd give it a 9 if I was voting (10 for her expression if I knew it is ice and snow in the background instead of ocean and waves). Of course, it is possible Larus could be vacationing somewhere in the southern hemisphere. We'll see. |

I must have dropped it about here...by the99Comment: I think this is great photo and I hope it does well. I like everything about it, lines, perspective, depth, composition, colors, mood, light, dof, etc. . I'd give it a 9 if I was voting, I hope the voters will see it the same way I do. Good luck piba. |

Here's to . . . Good Friends, Good Fun, and the DPC Site Councilby LydiaComment: LOL !!!! good for you ! Now, if the glass was a cut-out of a photo it would have really made the point. I have no doubt in my mind the dq was unfair and against overwhelming precedent. I hope this time they refrain from charging you with "purposely shooting a picture that will provoke sympathy voting" or something like that. You must be getting millions of comments, I am still roflmao. |

A star is born...by JacciComment: He meant to say that you forced the picture into meeting the challenge by using the word 'star' in the title. I disagree, I think you are showing a 'celebrity' type subject, maybe a movie or show-business 'star' of sorts, so, I think it did meet the challenge. Besides, I think it is a great photo. |

ETERNITYby AlexSaberiComment: This is a tough one, a most beautiful image. I wonder why did you not chose only the one frame with the swan in it and managed the dynamic range by processing in raw rather than by combining several frames? that would have avoided any question of ilegality. |

ETERNITYby AlexSaberiComment: This is such a beautiful image. I am sure many are puzzled by the super sharp bird in a 60-120 sec (or longer?) exposure. My brother and I were trying to guess the technique, we have a few ideas but hope Alex will be kind enough to share the real deal. |
