Full moon (my first!)by TammsterComment: For a full moon like this you will avoid the noise by lowering the ISO to 100. I assume your reason for the 400 was that you were trying to do it handheld, if so, your result is striking!!

Week 6 - Singer Islandby TammsterComment: Originally posted by MelonMusketeer: Cool colors in this, and I like the perspective. I worked in that area about 1972, on Tiara, and Water Glades condos when they were being built. It was great to watch the sunrise in the mornings from the top, and to hit the beach with snorkel and fins at the end of the work day. |
How about that!! did you know that the Tiara was condemned (and I believe it remains so) after the hurricanes of 2004? |

Breathlessby lejComment: Originally posted by basssman7: ......... My other tip would be that shooting shots likes this from a lower angle gives them more impact and power. Higher angles are more tame and less powerful. 5 |
I am not sure this would be a valid rule, in fact the opposite may be true, especially when facial expression and head movement are the conveyors of impact and power, an example would be my 'brown ribbon deja vu' image which was inspired by a similar JL picture that was also taken from a high point of view. |
