Peaceful Placeby sekarmalathyComment: Okay, I was getting a little tired of these perfectly symmetrical cathedral shots, but something about this.... The lighting, or the colors, or the tones, I'm not really sure what exactly, makes it look imho a lot nicer than the other cathedral shots. They always seem to harsh and contrasty to me, but this is so much softer and warmer. It almost looks like a painting, and I half expect to see some elaborately dressed royalty saunter into the room. Very nice photo. |

You have the right to remain silent.by limerickComment: I feel like this is too tightly cropped for some reason, (but I'm not quite sure why, maybe something to do with the leading lines?)... I feel like I need to see more space on the left of the photo. On the other hand, now that I think about it, it's a good thing you did crop it nice and tight like this, because it gives a perfectly claustrophobic, imprisoned feel, which, needless to say, matches perfectly with the subject. So: great shot. :) |

Fragileby thorvaldsdottirComment: I'm not sure if fragility has a whole lot to do with silence.... but I love that particular shade of dusty pink - this is a gorgeous photo! :) |

Before Talkiesby DCrest01Comment: Neat concept, but the composition is weak and cluttered. I know from experience it's difficult to shoot such objects though, especially when trying to work in their accessories, such as the film reels. Just as a thought, maybe you could place a person in the picture, and have him/her putting the film on the projector or something. Or just try using the rule of thirds, or play with some interesting angles... Hope this helps! :) |

Shhhh...by breadfan35Comment: I don't like the way the lighting has created a strange shadow in his right eye, but I otherwise I like the dramatic lighting, and the high contrast. |
