This is a jail house that is from the 1800's. Its a historical site and took a few phone calls for me to be allowed in to take pictures. I didnt realize how tiny the jail house was. I think the whole building was about 50 feet square and there are four cells inside built in that square. There was only about 2 feet of space between the walls and the cells. My tripod took up all the space so it wasnt as easy as I thought it would be to get a good angle. I was happy to get what I got tho. :=)

Thank you everyone for the wonderful comments! This was so much fun to watch and is a new personal best. So thanks to you all!

Very nicely composed image with excellent contrast and effective lighting. The image also conveys quite effectively the feeling of silence. 8

Excellent shot, title and use of BW. Great detail and contrast. One of my few favs for this challenge.

This could've been better with a sepia feel instead of b&w. But it's good, nevertheless! And a great idea. 6

A great concept. The right to silence is so obvious (now) & yet you have communicated it beautifully.

I really like this. The tones are excellent, and the hands through the bars, to me speaks volumes.

how long you in?

I feel like this is too tightly cropped for some reason, (but I'm not quite sure why, maybe something to do with the leading lines?)... I feel like I need to see more space on the left of the photo. On the other hand, now that I think about it, it's a good thing you did crop it nice and tight like this, because it gives a perfectly claustrophobic, imprisoned feel, which, needless to say, matches perfectly with the subject. So: great shot. :)
