dying-to-get-in.jpgby dahkotaComment: That is just insanely cool. How did you get this effect? I love it. The high-contrast has a very violent effect - the way the tree and the ground are pure black and the tombstones jump out of the darkness like that, and then match with the sky, is fantastic. The reddish earthy color tones add the perfect final touch. |

Stormby dahkotaComment: Powerful, dramatic image... might look nice in black and white. |

The hauntingby dahkotaComment: Splendid - I really like the way the photograph advances from cold blue to yellow green... Very interesting. The textures and the lighting is great! |

Migrantby mandyturnerComment: Well... after reading the comments below I have to say I disagree with a few of them... the crop is perfect IHMO, and the boy's expression is perfect. It immediatley gave me the impression he was in the middle of asking his mom a very sad question. Excellent capture. I love the desaturated colors and the interesting textures. :) |

Flea BW.jpgby cintiazComment: I love what you've captured here - the cat's pose is unusual and interesting. The shallow depth of field also works great... I personally don't care for the cropping though. I would have arranged the composition in such a way that the eyes weren't so close to the edge of the frame.... but this has good potential - nice shot! |

Sup.jpgby cintiazComment: Great capture! Next time, I would suggest perhaps moving the angle of the camera down just a bit, so you are even more level with the squirrel. Also, play around with creating more interesting (i.e. non-centered) copmositions. Finally, I personally would brighten this up just a bit and add more contrast... it might also look good in black and white.
Hope this is helpful. :) |

Manatee Key Beach.jpgby cintiazComment: This is just powerful. Something about the darkness clamping in from the side is splendid. I like the colors a bit better on this one. Nice work! :) |

Sarasota Beach.jpgby cintiazComment: There's something powerful and vast about the composition in both of these sunset photos... I don't particularly care for the colors in this one, but those bird add the perfect touch. |
