Footbridge at Deception Fallsby stesmoComment: Nice effect with the water! Good composition. I wish the bridge highlights had more punch - Sharping may have helped. Still, one of the best so far. |

Community Bridgeby mcrochipComment: Nice bridge composed well. Execution-wise, I think it is too bright. The border points out the crooked pillars. |

Country Footbridgeby tcherringComment: Beautiful little bridge. Good, straight forward compositon. I find that that there is no deep black and the range is maybe a little too narrow to really set it off. (BTW, I do not know how to achieve this - I am still trying to make that work as well.) |

Bridges: Past and Presentby gerardComment: Great location and composition. I have trouble seeing the stone bridge with the mid tones so strong - it seems monotone in that region. Maybe adjust the Levels in the middle range. Still very nice. |

When the past becomes the foundation of the present...by auiComment: Well done. Several goos elements in here. The bright water, balanced with the dark space on the left. Build up of layers in the height. Leading line to the date 1921. The houses in the background are unfortunate, but not a major problem. I also have the sense for why this bridge is here. |

Christine Falls Bridgeby SwashbucklerComment: Fantastic bridge and snow. How did you get in position to get the shot? Everything is so flat, it is hard to appreciate the potential. I am struggling for concrete suggestions to help the image. Maybe add to the flatness - go to black and white, crop out some of the top and right, pump up brightness for a white-on-white image. |

Mephisto's Crossingby OlyuziComment: Good potential. I have found water and reflections are very hard - I have not unlocked their secrets. But I think the top part of the image is too soft and out of focus - maybe you could have shot just the reflections. |

Crossing the wavesby johnmkComment: Good shot and subject. I wish you could have had more punch in the bridge - it just lays there and the water sparkles. |

Naganoby NatashaComment: Natasha,
I am so happy that you posted pictures in your portfolio. I really like your work. In fact, you are a major reason I joined DPC! I saw the site and noticed your work and said, "This is good." Thanks for the inspiration.
Up until two years ago, I traveled to Japan on business many times, but never went beyond just "being there" for a few days. I like the way you have immersed yourself in the country. I miss traveling to Japan - the people, the culture, the food.
Keep up the good work.
