The Community Bridge in Frederick, MD's Carroll Creek Park shows an example of 'Trompe l'oeil', or 'That which fools the eye.' The appearance of a rock face, and the bird bath on the left, are actually part of the Community Bridge Mural, a painting on this bridge which is done so realistically that people walking by will touch the "stones" just to verify if they are real. They are not - the bridge is actually just flat concrete with an extremely well-done mural painted on both sides and underneath.

Nice capture of this bridge. You've put a unique slant on this subject ;-) . Seriously, tonal range looks good, good solid exposure, subject is crisp. Detail is good from light to dark.

Nice bridge composed well. Execution-wise, I think it is too bright. The border points out the crooked pillars.

Seems a little washed, though I like the composition contrasting the two archways. It may improve with more interesting light.

good job. nice photo.

Very nicely done. I like your use of black and white here. You have managed to capture the details in the shadows without burning out your highlights. That is not necessarily easy to do. Good detail in the stones as well. I really like the way you have cropped this into almost a panorama. The only small thing I find wrong with this photograph is the small amount of tilt.

Very white looking, very bright, lots of detail in the brick work, etc.

I wonder if this cropping is allowed ??? the photo seems a bit on the right side.

That reflection is great! I was looking at it and thinking the debri weren't there it'd be a perfect reflection. Would it have been possible to have framed this so as to have taken in more of the reflection? It seems that we are missing something that would definitely be adding to the shot. Love it how it is though!

A very picturesque bridge - nice stonework. Is the Urn feature at the left coppied on the right (out of shot)?Hmm, There also seems to be a Lean to the pillars.....

A lovely bridge. Good depth of field. I like the lighting too. The only problem I have is that the composition seems a little dull. Perhaps if the shot was taken with a different angle of view it would have helped, but that is just my opinion.

Nice B&W, however the verticle pillars are not verticle. Should have rotated the pic a little bit to the left.

A neat shot, although it feels like it's tilted a bit too far to the right.
