olddoor.jpgby sulamkComment: There is a look of posterization here that complements the textures. I don't know how to critique architectural shots, so at the risk of sounding like an idiot I'll say it seems kind of flat. |

Day 1 P&S by MelonMusketeerComment: I've tried several times to write a comment for you that might make sense & not sound too crazy. I would never think of using flash & shooting at night to get a black BG. I feel like I might have a chance to learn something here, just not sure what it is! I kind of like the glowing edges. |

P&S Day 2 - Purple Gallinuleby JuliBocComment: beautiful & beautifully done--this looks like Florida light. Enthusiastically agree w/what's already been said (better) by others. |

PSApril21 King of the walkby tnunComment: It's not all that often I see street photography w/a dog as the subject. I like this as is, including the perspective of the bldg & even the leash/pole. What keeps my attention is the expressive face of that "small eyed collie cross." "D |

picklesby icu1965Comment: You could try for one w/some motion-blur, next time, if you're in the mood. They can run so fast! Nicely photogenic dog--go for it! |

The Brahmas #1 P&Sby robinssongComment: I'm a big fan of photography at this time of day. I love the low, glowing light. Renaissance light, I call it. The cattle are almost glowing, well separated from their BG just by the light. Flowers, too, in this light are gorgeous. I wouldn't change a thing (I wouldn't enter it into an online contest, either). They seem so thoughtful & peaceful. |

P&S Day 1 - Roseby JuliBocComment: I see a very nice DOF in this comp, making the greens into an excellent BG for an eye-catching palette of pinks. I would assume you\'d shot this outdoors in a very pretty garden. I agree that the isolated pink petal\'s absence would improve this comp. |

Day 1by tpbremerComment: Nice composition, complementary DOF. BW works well for this, too. Great start! |

rose.jpgby sulamkComment: The variety of shades of pink are a delight, nicely set off by the green BG. I like the almost-but-not-quite noise. |
