Day 4: White Flowersby bobonacusComment: Wow--your first shot at flowers. You will be hooked on the intimate, expressive relationship between flower petals & sunlight--just look at how beautifully you captured it in this shot! I see clean, clear whites & a nice blue in the sky, too. IMO I have to bring the shot to the camera when I'm using a DSLR. With a P&S I feel like I'm bringing the camera to the shot, allowing for a quicker, more spontaneous reaction to what I see around me. It's good to have a variety. |

wire.jpgby sulamkComment: It does make a face, which is fun (but it's razor wire. For me, the noise turns the sky into a wall, very close behind the wire. And the moon becomes an eye. Are we inside or outsize--that's the question a wall inspires. Inside or outside of what--that's the question the wire inspires. Interesting, thought-provoking shot. |

some sheepby tnunComment: I like the way you cropped it (or framed it, if this isn't cropped), it leads my eye on a Z. My eye starts w/the rich tones of the board fenced, the more suspicious face of the taller sheep is in a great spot to anchor the shot, but the more comical face of the 2nd (younger) sheep keeps my eye moving. I like the soft, misty light. |

Day 3by tpbremerComment: Your treatment of the hands resulted in my eye being riveted by those knuckles. An interesting combination of the rough & the smooth. |

P&S Day 3 - CSIby JuliBocComment: I'm fascinated by the reflection of her arm in the wet sand. Didn't miss her head. Distracted & fascinated by the excavation in the sand & the lumps of sand in the water & the footprints & the uncaring yacht speeding away. A scene from a 1970's Italian movie, maybe. |

Day 3: Leaf It Out!by bobonacusComment: I'm completely enchanged by the overlapping edges creating dark green leafy shapes. Awesome! [eta] And, I'm a big fan of the way photography can flatten things,so that the distant leaves look like they could be close-up miniatures. The busiest minimalist comp I've ever seen. Changing the Logo #2 P&Sby robinssongComment: This has an interesting outer-space feel to it. I discovered today that I can set this camera to bracket EV. It shoots 3 frames w/bracketed -2, 0, +2 (where I have mine set now). HDR is an interesting way to deal w/noise. All I have to do now is find something contrasty to shoot. "D I like the way the sky in this makes me think of water. Up is down. The crane & the bldg make an artful composition. Well seen--what made you look up? |

DAY 2by tpbremerComment: Nicely done. Thanks for the interesting comments on yor process. I take it that your 'shooting eye' is the one in shadow "D . The only thing I can find to pick at is the catchlight in the eye, being right on the edge like that. |
