P&S Day 5 - Loose Connection

Comment:
Even when I sit up straight for a perfect viewing angle the blacks look awfully rich, & my eye is diverted to the grey/white checkerboard. I tried it out on my ViewSonic at home & then on the Dell at work. Both had very rich, flat blacks. I don't know if that's what you wanted, but it's my honest $.02-worth.

That would be a great Challenge: the "Quick & Sneaky" challenge! Excellent capture on-the-fly so to speak.

I admire your inventiveness! I got a much-needed smile when I saw that on Saturday, just didn't have time to comment. It turned out very well & reminded me right away of astronauts. "D

Day 6: Waiting for the Train

Comment:
Train tracks are always good--this is a fine one. The trees looks especially fine, a nice contrast tothe tracks. If you use center-weighted metering, be mindful of where you point it, a variety of results can be achieved. Think of it as spot-metering.

Very smooth, clear & bright. The Church would like it, I think. The tan walls look nice against the blue sky. I like the PP.

Love it! The trunks flattened out, I'm thinking of a path. Great for the imagination.

Nice & colorful. If you don't have a pair of Crocs, I sure do recommend them. They're comfortable & indestructible & cheap. "D

The spike look really sharp (hehe) & the iguana is posing for you very nicely. For fun, it would be interesting to try sharpening by adjusting contrast only, maybe make the white tips of the spikes pop a bit more. Keep on clickin'!

The Sports mode worked very well! I see a sharp, bright subject against a very complilmentary BG. The odd yellow eye is compelling. I learn a lot from your notes & also from your comments on other shots.
