The Nutty Professorby BrianRComment: very interesting. the sticky liquids being at weird angles are throwing me off a bit as i look through the picture. the glasses and oversaturation in the hair are a very nice touch. good idea, 6 |

A simle reactionby onarComment: whoohoo, magnesium? i like the shot, and the crop. the border you've included is wonderful, as it's there as an afterthought, more than intruding into the picture. i think i would have liked to see it as just the blue line over the photo as the border, so the sparks could come through. the colors are bright, and your contrast is really well done. capitals in your title to make it consistent would have been good, but it's still a good shot. 6 |

Weird Science: Unexpected Affect of Double-Polarized Light Raysby zymaraComment: Well, as a shot i like it. the rainbow effect given by the polarizers is very good looking, and it adds interest to an otherwise kind of dreary photo of yet another mountain. (nothing against you here, it's just that i've seen a lot of mountains) the spelling mistake in the title (wrong affect/effect) is a bit of a downer, but i do overall like the photo. one other thing i'm coming to see as i look at it is that the color overlay seems to detract from the focus and sharpness. overall, very well done, 7 |

The New Dark Agesby GeneralEComment: well that's an odd one.. good points for the humor factor. i'm not sure that i like the graininess of the photo, but i suppose it works if you're going for a space kind of look. |

Am I Trapped In My Sins?by JudiComment: this reminds me very strongly of a music video, from apocalyptica.. i think it fits very well, but i couldn't honestly say, because the one i have is in french. maybe check it out, i could probably try to find the name of the song for you if you're interested |

Inseparableby robaComment: the hair looks a bit oversharpened, and the skin a bit too softened.. even though it was expert editing, i think you should have stayed with a bit less of it. on the other hand, it's a great idea for such a challenge, and a great capture. i do like how the tail end of the braid falls below the frame, but it is a bit jagged looking where you cut out the background.
in the end, it was a nice try, and you still get a 6 from me :) |

Beetleby BudComment: nice sliver of focus, i wish the bug's right eye were a little more sharp though. |
