Day 05by darnokComment: This image sort of rides the line between abstract and bug macro. Little too much detail for abstract, not quite enough for a good macro. Not sure what to think. Don't hate it, not falling in love with it. But I'm still looking at it... |

Broken-apart.jpgby UrfaKComment: Love it. Absolutely love images that let me think about them and make up my own interpretations of the subject. First thing I thought when I saw this was 'embryos' for some reason. Great processing. |

Day 5: Sorcha's Obsessionby RebeccaComment: Wouldn't be DPC without contradictory opinions - I love everything about this shot BUT the slant heh. The blur and the high-key really, really work here. |

watch me run (Day 5)by colorcarnivalComment: I don't see any haloing, but I'd suggest the same thing Art did to combat it. As for noise, I find iso200 adds just the 'perfect' amount of grain to a BW photo. 400 starts looking a bit rough - this is on my camera obviously. Anyway, pretty much anything over iso 100 once you start banging on it with Levels the noise is going to start to be noticeable. Neat Image does a nice job and I think you applied it well here. Not much detail lost in the process, if any.
Nice shot btw. DoF works well to isolate the runner while still giving a little background for added interest. |

day 5by cryanComment: I like softer focus in portraits. Maybe something a little crisper, like around the eye, might help focus the eye but overall I think it looks decent. Cute pose. Something to drag out when he starts bringing home dates heheh. |

Day 5 - Musicby meneleComment: Once in a while I get it in my head to shoot something out of the stacks of sheet music here. I always find it hard to make it interesting without including other 'props' (violin, a glass - something). So, this is not the most exciting shot in the world but I can appreciate the difficulty. For what it is, it is nice and crisp. I'd agree, maybe a bit higher contrast would serve the shot better. |

Hotel lobbyby MelethiaComment: Actully don't care for the blown out doorway, other than that this is a very slick image. The barrel adds a point of interest that sits well with the arhitectural details dominating the rest of the shot. Good work. |
