Sorcha used to cry and beg for me to turn the shower on anytime I went anywhere near the bathroom, since she liked to lick the fresh water as the droplets ran down the tile. Now she has a pet fountain and doesn't lick the walls anymore, but she still sits on the tub ledge while I'm getting ready to take a shower.
This is a 1 second exposure since the bathroom tends to be dark, and Sorcha moved her head. She isn't good at keeping still for long exposures.
One more note: It wasn't meant to be tilted, but it was an awkward photo to take, balanced on the tub ledge, and I couldn't level it in CS2 without losing important parts of the picture.

Cool! I like the title and the story :)
Without the details, I'd think this cat has a fascination with water but is still not brave enough to jump in. |

Oh, this is great! I really like high-key B&W (just see my symmetry submission!). The motion blur on the cat (who's quite the charmer, BTW) along with that of the water gives a really dynamic feel, and I agree that the tilt, if anything, adds to that rather than detracting.
My only suggestion - you could lose the soap puff! |

What a pretty cat! She's got so much fur, looks like a little lion. I love the high-key look, gives it a surreal look which fits well with a cat staring at the bathtub... |

CUTEE!!! I really wish there was more sharpness in the cat because this is just beautiful black and white post processing. I don't think this would work in color but I love what you did with it. The tilt kind of bothers me here though. Straightening it would make it a little more balanced I think |

I really like this. You apologize for the tilt, but I think it works very well tilted - that along with the cat's head movement and the running water gives it an "alive-ness" that it wouldn't have had otherwise. Very nice processing - and thanks for sharing how you did it, too. My only suggestion would be to lighten the "line" that runs up the left side of the cat on the edge of the picture.

Interesting concept and nice high key photo. Not sure of the kilter myself, but the action/emotion is amazing in the photo. Tough shot to get both the cat and the water blur (1 second), but creates a wonderful drama. |

A strange (but not in a bad way) image...High focus on the tap and soft on the cat. My first impression was ooo no, but the more I looked at it the more I liked it. Love the intensity of the cats expression
V minor issue, the tile grouting just below and to the right of the tap is a little distracting in terms of the tones of the pic (imo)

stunning photograph ... so beautiful in black and white and the softness is just so appealing .. the posture on that gorgeous cat is perfect ... and i love how she looks a bit wet herself ... it is a shame that she moved, but it is still a fantastic image ... :) |

Great story, love her name. Just a little too tilted for me, feel like your bath has been incorrectly installed - SMILE! |

Wouldn't be DPC without contradictory opinions - I love everything about this shot BUT the slant heh. The blur and the high-key really, really work here. |
