D4: Dirt Devilby cginoComment: You could crop it so just the face and the batting paws are in frame (edit: like right below the foreground elbow to just above the uppermost paw), that might focus the scene a bit more. Nice action shot! Message edited by author 2007-07-04 12:34:09. |

Breakfastby AliciaComment: Is the middle bowl a breakfast bonus? Or is someone missing from the feast? |

Paw Pawby AliciaComment: Do you trim her feet? My dogs get what we call 'octopus feet' with the hair growing long and going in all directions. |

Neon Webby SomeamateurComment: You say in your bio you have a thick skin and are looking to improve your photos.
I'll leave this comment here, but it is a general comment as I just looked through all your challenge entries.
Setting aside every single other aspect of photography, your photos would be immensely improved if you would educate yourself about and then force yourself to adhere to some of the fundamental rules of composition. Rule of thirds, leading lines, etc. Google or search the dpc forums and start reading.
Your scores are what they are because the shots appear to have little thought put into them, primarily due to their haphazard composition, and give off a sense of 'snapshot' - the kiss of death in challenges.
I'm pretty confident that if you do this, you will certainly leave the 4.x scores behind. Add decent focus and an interesting subject, and scoring upper 5's is not hard to do.
Good luck. |

Redby Bruce_the_RobertComment: The motion blurred train thing is getting a bit overdone, but this is a really fantastic shot and a great take on the challenge - should have placed higher imo. |
