City Lights and a Dirty Riverby heavyjComment: I think this is a very interesting shot - I like the composition, especially the way you captured the reflections in the water. On my screen though, it looks over-sharpened, which for me detracts a bit from the overall effectiveness of the shot. |

Large Scale Chemistryby JammurComment: I really like this shot. I do find the much-darker bottom portion a bit distracting, although I'm not sure simply cropping out the bottom would improve things. It might have been better to find a different angle that avoided the shrubs entirely. In any case, I think you picked an excellent location for a night shot and captured it quite well. |

How do I look?by edmengComment: It's the postures of the subjects that makes this image effective for me - they make the image "say" much more - it's not simply a snapshot of two people. |

Contre-jour Fleurby pla2Comment: There's a harshness to this image that seems just right for it. I feel like I'm baking in the sun right along with the flowers. |

light on whiteby xantangummiComment: Very nicely done - a striking portrait. Natural, relaxed, the way she just emerges from all the white is fantastic. |

Sunset Portraitby robinssongComment: I really like this. Nice tones, and the crop/close-up is a good choice - I think if the whole length of the bill was included, the eye would have been drawn away, down the bill to the edge of the image. Cropping out the bill keeps us focused on the subject. |
