week-6.jpgby LanndonKaneComment: Very moody shot. I feel like a broken record with the comments I'm making but tonal range is very important to be in a B&W image and this has it. I like to see black-blacks and white-whites and a lot of renage between. Based your comments your choice of HDR on a dull original really worked. Very nice. |

Road to Ruinby BAMartinComment: There's a lot of classic elements to like in this image. The leading line of the path, very nice texture and tonal range. Excellent conversion. If I were to do anything I think I might of lifted the composition just a bit to expose a little more sky, maybe just enough to lose the first stone lining the path but that's a nit-pick at most. Very nice image and a good choice for B&W |

#3 Vaseby SonifoComment: I like this very much! You played the sharpness of the twigs against the softness of the rest of the image very well. Nice work. |

Passing by (b&w 2008 #3)by nikolaosComment: I like the contrast and movement of the passerby. I'm not crazy about the crop but the conversion and tonal range is excellent. |

Week 1by chris48083Comment: I like the light reflecting on the rails. It creates interseting leading lines. I think I might have considered a tighter crop to remove the truck from the right side of the image though. |

Week 5by muz64Comment: I like the leading line of the railing through the image. I think more tonal range or contrast would make this a better shot. I agree with the little to left suggestion on the composition. I think I would have also liked to see the top of the arch. |
