I love the idea of this shot but find the crop to be a little awkward, the section on the left just lacks any interest yet competes with the rest of the shot.

I really like the idea but to me the main image is too contrasty and dark which makes the image and the overlay look like to different images that compliment each other. One other little nitpick is maybe moving the overlay slightly to the right and blending the right edge to take away the sharp edge of the overlay. I think with a few tweaks this would be a very nice image.

In Estes Park you can't get much more historic than The Stanley hotel, nice shot Richard, I took a few early morning shots as I went by the other day but I did not find one I liked enough to enter. As a kid I remember my Grandmother would go there all the time to get her hair done at the beauty salon and we would ride along to drop her off and pick her up, such a cool old place.
