Great job! An extremely gorgeous location, and interesting subject in the rocks, just that something in the foreground is making me dizzy it is so out of focus. The tilted horizon distracts from this as well. But the colors are very nice, as is the movement in the water around the rocks.

Great job! A nice quiet photo, with great colors and mood. I just now reallized that there is a person out there walking, giving some perspective to the shot. Maybe a little closer view would have been better. I'm raising my original score on this from a 4 to a 5, because it's definately not below average.

Great job! A nice photo, but lacks any real interest of subject. In addition, a water shot, or even a shoreline shot, does not always mean 'beach' in my opinion. And meeting the challenge, to me, is the first and most important thing, if that isn't done, then anything else is unimportant. Doesn't mean it's not a beautiful and creative shot, because in this case, it absolutely is! I do love it! I went back and forth on how to score your pic, but I do vote low for those that I don't think meet the challenge, so to be consistant, I am voting this lower than I want for the reasons stated above.

Great job! A nicely executed photo. Beautiful color on that bird. Excellent technical merit. However, I do not see how this meets the challenge, as there is no hint at beach in this photo, and it isn't fair to me as a voter to have to imagine that this was taken on a beach somewhere. Even so, a water shot, or even a shoreline shot, does not always mean 'beach' in my opinion. And meeting the challenge, to me, is the first and most important thing, if that isn't done, then anything else is unimportant. Great job! You met the challenge's theme quite well. And as much as I like the bottle part of this photo and the water/sand/pebble texture of the photo, that reflection is really a detriment rather than an asset. Maybe a wider angle to show what the reflection belongs to would have made it better.

Great job! What an interesting angle for this shot, and the colors and movement are very intense indeed! I liked the shot, but it seems that it's a bit flat and could have been a bit more saturated to bring out that color of the water and sky. Has alot of potential for greatness, but now, just average.

Great job! This is an exceptional photo, with so much going on. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, as are the colors. The sun hitting the ground behind the house in contrast to the shadowed foreground is very nice! As is the sky reflected off the surface of the water. The sky is beautiful also, as are the mountains. I'd like to vote this one a 10. HOWEVER. A water shot, or even a shoreline shot, does not always mean 'beach' in my opinion.
