Meditation in Redby ShaneBlakeComment: Finally. Perfect Zen. The movement in the sand, with the stillness of the single subject. Minimal color (and gorgeous color at that). The red against the soft sand color is like yin and yang. You have reached nirvana. So you get a 10. And a favorite. Great job from the 'Great job Baggie'.... |

Peaceful Riverby lizzyc3Comment: A very calm flowing stream, good use of lack of color for trying to create that zenny atmosphere. Just a tad too much detail here that breaks up the intended stillness. Just draws me out of that zenny feeling. |

Lovelyby stare_at_the_sunComment: Although very minimal in every aspect, I feel too much pain from her lip piercing to be at peace with anything. Great job tho! |

Zilent Nightby NazgulComment: Too much detail in this that it distracts from the overall sense of calm and solitude that I like to see in a zen shot. Great job tho! |

The Korean Bellby FastexposureComment: Great shot. Korean buddhism certainly knows zen. But where's the bell? lol...
Anyway, nice minimal use of color and nice subject. Great job! |

Lightby hannekeComment: Nice use of lighting and minimal color. Interesting color combination. A very minimalistic shot, although not quite what I'd like to see in the way of zen. Wish I could explain it better. Great job! |

Calmnessby BrinComment: A very interesting shot. First time I've seen one of those things floating in water.. lol.. Great imagination. This is a very calm and still shot, and I'm feeling the zen in the water, colors, lighting and reflection. However, the subject is just too odd to be floating in water that it actually becomes a little distracting to the sense of zen. It did give me a smile though. |

- An Ocean of Harmony -by seebrownComment: A very pretty shot, but for another challenge, it would do much better. Just too much going on here, my eye is distracted by the bright opposing colors, and the business of the waves. Pretty colors, though, but they work against each other here. If the water had been a darker tone, and more 'quiet', maybe this would have worked better. Or maybe even in black and white, or a darker sky. Just something isn't screaming zen to me here. |
