Having one of those photographers blocks during the past week, so I decided to head to the beach at sunset to see what I could capture. Just happened to stumble upon this amazing sunset with just a sliver of the moon showing.

Composition is a bit off (would have been better to have the boat coming in from the left and the moon the right) but alas I was too tired to see this while shooting.

Photoshop:
Issolated the sky, applied some level adjustment
Issolated the water, applied some level adjustment
Cloned out a few very small lights on the horizon
Cropped

Nice composition and colors. I love the opposition between the boat and the moon.

Nice composition. The moon fits so well there.

I would have liked this image better if the top portion was cropped as a square. There is nothing in the bottom of the image that is needed.

A very pretty shot, but for another challenge, it would do much better. Just too much going on here, my eye is distracted by the bright opposing colors, and the business of the waves. Pretty colors, though, but they work against each other here. If the water had been a darker tone, and more 'quiet', maybe this would have worked better. Or maybe even in black and white, or a darker sky. Just something isn't screaming zen to me here.

Very nice elements - moon, cloud wisps, water, sailing vessel, color - all quite harmonious.

I like this one. I am intrigued by the portait orientation of this image but am also wondering if landscape would have worked better. either way, great colors and very well balanced.

hmm, now that I take a second look, cropping just below the boat would give you a square image...niether portrait or landscape, but I seem to like it. what do you think?

Great job.

Beautiful pic. I think it might be better to crop out more water and have the boat in the lower corner more...for zen.
