My pick in this challenge. This would make an awesome poster/print (and it might find a home in my office). Terrific lighting/mood. Normally the barges ruin the shots from Alkai... but they actually HELP in this scene. Well done!

Well done! Definitely like the lighting... is sets the mood for this shot. Not sure I like the border - it gives it a somewhat uneven/off-bakance effect. Awesome composition. 8 for now.

I actually looked at this one a few times during the voting. The composition grabbed me immediately - I liked the sand, the DoF, and the overall 'feel' of the shot.

What "didn't" work for me was 2 things:
1. the flower just looked unappealing (couldn't figure out what it was - it almost looked like a nutshell), and
2. the seeds REALLY looked like raisins.

Overall, I thought it was a 'good' shot that just begged for better 'props'. :O)
