Lake Steam Bathsby RebeccaComment: I like the feel of this photo. What the sign actually says doesn't seem to fit though. Not that you can control that, heh. It looks like a place that has been there awhile, so to people in your city it probably rings some nostalgia. In that sense I think it works.
I'm not sure many people are going to put as much thought into this, but I'm glad I did.
To nit-pick: Your upper right street light looks to have suffered a bit from the editting. |

Once upon a time there was a muts and a ball... by Arti-ElviComment: It reminds me of the movie Delicatessen. Soft muted colors and a slightly crazy expression... and your precious little muts ball... thingy, heh.
This photo really sticks out for me. I'm rooting for you on this one. |

Meby DiComment: I can't help but wonder why you're naked with your cat. The photo looks forced. (Unless you're a nudist, heh) |

the callingby robaComment: Somehow I think that plant in the foreground absolutely killed you. I don't understand why so many took so much off for that. I would have liked to see her left hand though. If there's something else majorly wrong with it I'm not seeing it.
My first instinct was to crop, make it black/white, and do a little dodging and burning. After I cropped it I realized how much impact that foreground plant was having over the whole image. Even the color version looks amazing. The colors are a little dull, but that's to be expected up here in the Pacific Northwest.
I live in Oregon and was just sitting on my porch pouting. I trying to think of the best way to get those poppy colors back in photos when it's so drizzly out 8 months out of the year. I tried a few things with your photo. Brightness/contrast wiped the detail out of the black dress and my dodging skills suck, heh.
Anyway.. horribly, horribly underrated.

pond-daybreak-IMG_4604-TM2.jpgby Bear_MusicComment: It seems over-sharpened to me. The tree seems to be the focus, but at the same time there doesn't seem to be a focus. The colors are beautiful, but I want to push my way through the trees to see the lake and far shore better. I think there's just too much going on for me. It makes me nervous. =) |

Practiceby tbensonComment: I'm distracted by whatever the light source is. It looks to be a low single source whereas my mind expects a hallway light through a cracked door which would go higher.
Basically.. your light source bugs me. Nice idea though, heh. |

Eye Openerby The EskimoComment: This feels cramped.
Good focus. I don't think the steam is used to its potential though. |

The A.M. Ritualby sherpetComment: Am I wrong for loving this? Am I wrong for thinking Grandma's cleavage makes the photo? |
