The composition looks good but (at least on my monitor) the image seems a little dark. As such it also seems a little soft. I like the catchlights in the eyes.

It is a little hard to see the details in his/her face. I'm not sure that the selective desaturation works effectively here either. Beyond the technicals I do like the story of the image, especially when coupled with the title.

Is it a print out or something? Seems very flat with a weird light/shadow direction.

Wonderful light - it really sets the mood. A classic portrait. Only improvement I can see is a slight crop off the bottom to hide the gray bar in the bottom right corner.

I like the use of perspective on the shot, although I think it usually looks better on a lighter background so it doesnt look like the dog is floating. The strong color cast seems to suggest a slight white balance issue also.

It's good that you've tried to 'hide' the background with a backdrop but the creases and depth of field make it become part of the image more than just a background. The image is also fairly noisy, which could be because of poor light or too much exposure correction. The focus also looks a little off, again this could be because of poor/dim lighting. The composition is good.

The eyes are certainly interesting. I also like the softness of the fur. I dont think the fence really adds that much to the image and think it would have looked better cropped out. The background is also a little light and could use a slight burn to darken it so the emphasis goes back to the cat.

Good environmental portrait. There is a strong sense of presence and pride with the stance and expression. The background grasses contrast nicely with the black of the fur and the orange 'jacket'. Only thing I dont like is the way the rear legs have disappeared in the grass and I dont know if there was a selection involved but there is a strong edge/contrast there that makes it look like the legs have been cut off or missing.

Good even light with sharpness and a good texture on the fur. Background is good and complimentary also. Interesting expression also. Good job!

An interesting moody and warm light. Not too fond of the composition and think cropping out some of the left side would put more emphasis on the face. Think having more of the feet in the shot may have helped some too. Additionally not fond of the two white blobs in the background as they draw the eye a little. They seem fairly isolated and could be easily cloned out.
