Radioactiveby vickioComment: Ha! Good observation, capture, and title. Nice patterns. The B/W conversion is a good idea too. |

Reaching Up by AllenPComment: A ribbon winner in my book. Good sepia conversion, nice symmetric(almost) patterns and a unique perpsective for sure. Since I don't know of any store that sells street lights - I'm very curious as to where this is :) |

S O A Rby hotpastaComment: A ribbon winner in my book. The crisp burst/flare, the blue/gold filter, the still visible details on the plane - all add up to a very nice perspective picture complemented by a nice title. The border's distracting a little bit, especially considering that the clouds already form a natural border for the picture. |

The Conductor of Hummer Air Orchestraby william88Comment: So sorry for the DQ William. My take on it is that, in an effort to get everyone to play nice, DPC sets some rules that will sometimes burn people with good intentions too. We just have to accept that DPC has it's limitations and continue to enjoy what we do.
For what it's worth, this picture and the other disqualified hummer pic of yours are what I will compare every other hummer picture to from now on. And I believe setting that kind of a benchmark with your pictures is worth far more than getting a DPC ribbon for them.

FIRE Breathersby andrewtComment: Always wanted to get a shot like this - nicely done with perfect black background. This would've probably done very well in the Orange challenge too. |

Four Liliesby banmornComment: Simply beautiful! Great lighting and well arranged. his would've probably done very well in the Orange challenge. I would've preferred a little more breathing space all around the flowers. |

Bluesby SaraRComment: Very nice shades of blue - soothing. I would've preferred a pic from a lower pespective that doesn't align the top of the bridge with horizon. Also, there are jpeg artifacts in the sky that are distracting from enjoying the delightful gradient in blues. |

Just a Touch of Sunby izadoodleComment: I'm always a sucker for reflected light, and the model in this one basks nicely in it! Great exposure - very well done. |

Symmetryby gadionComment: Yupp - Symmetry's right! Fisheye on a full-frame? The image itself is very cool and interesting. The fantastic setting however, leaves me thirsty for wanting to see more details. Not sure if you're constrained by the lens itself or by the 300KB limit on dpc uploads, but feels like the details are a bit smudged on this pic - would love to see this at full resolution and marvel at it. The colorful jackets of the people at the bottom are also distracting a little bit, but I'm sure you couldn't have asked them to leave :P Nice capture. If you could do this again, it would be awesome if you could take some 9 pics and stitch them together to give you a similar view with a lot more details and maybe print it up wall-size :) |

Incomparableby h2Comment: A very very cool idea - well executed and the lighting's great!
The only nit I have is with the reflection being neither here nor there. I would've either put the entire reflection in the picture or would've taken out most of what's visible now and kept the orange almost at the bottom of the pic. But that's just a nit - something that occurred to me after spending a lot of time enjoying the pic. |
