Myrmeleontidaeby GiorgioBaruffiComment: Not a fan of the bugs, but this one is captured really nicely. Wonderful soft lighting, creamy bokeh and the diagonal composition - fabulous. |

Knock and it shall be openedby bob350Comment: Lot's of layers and textures in the scene. So much detail! It's delightful. Would've loved it even more if you'd shot it standing a little bit left so that the 2 handrails seems balanced. |

Uh Oh!by wildirisComment: Wow! National Geographic time..
I didn't see the mantis till I read your title and wondered about it. The delightful creamy background and the sharp dew drops add to the wonderful scene. Very nicely captured! |

Horseshoe Bayby vladoComment: Sometimes, my OCD prevents me from enjoying what normal people do, I think. Such a wonderful capture with delightful and functional vignetting, and beautiful sepia conversion - spoiled for me by the 3 large sensor dust specks on the sky, smack in the middle :( Still, gets a high score for me, but I hope you clean the sensor soon. |

Forbearing with a Heart of a Rebel by HighNoonerComment: Missing a horn?
Seriously, a wonderful portrait of a horse that's almost magical, suggesting a unicorn. Love the sheen on the mane, and the pastel smooth background. Wonderful!! |

The Fallsby crowisComment: Love the Multnomah falls. Best of the shots of this I've seen so far in this free study. Glad you chose to keep some of the surroundings and not made it a narrow tall crop. Not too sure about the positioning of the bridge though - a bit too close to center I think. |

Stare Downby jim29028Comment: Sheesh! Glad I'm not in a staring contest - I wouldn't stand a chance. My first impression's a WOW! On closer inspection, the eyes don't somehow carry much details - feels like a heavy crop. Good capture nevertheless.. |

Never againby LevTComment: Always love "weathered" personality captures. The pose goes with the title well. Great B/W conversion. |
