The Layers of the Fragrant Harbourby TiberiusComment: An impressive view of Hong Kong! The 3 lights near the bottom-middle are very very distracting from such awesome view. Since their surroundings are dark anyway, you might be able to dim them in post-processing? |

Hoodoos under the Milky Wayby CitadelComment: Uhoh - did you enter it in the wrong challenge by mistake :P
Doesn't say city very well with such clear sky. Interesting lighting on the foreground though - care headlights? |

Philadelphiaby Tommy_MacComment: Nice skyline. (not from Seattle for a change :)
The trees in the bottom right are forming a dark blob that's distracting from the picture a little bit (I understand you can't chop trees for a pic :) |

Light Under the Bridgeby lukaskComment: Nice B/W conversion. Took me a couple of seconds to orient myself in the pic - lots of lines going all over the place - and that's both the strength and weakness of this pic for me. The top 2/3rds of the pic works very well, even with the horizontal fence in the background. The foreground horizontal fence though, is too distracting I think - maybe dim it down in post-processing will work?
The converging lines from underside of the bridge and it's shadows are simply awesome though! |

Night fall at Beijing East Rdby galatia_nComment: The tower is so interesting and wonderfully lit - a picture of it alone, shot on a tripod at low ISO would've done wonderfully well. This scene itself is too busy and has a few obvious problems:
Looks like a handheld - it's not sharp enough.
Looks like a high ISO shot - quite some noise in the dark.
And the horizon is tilted - the colorful tower and the street light are not straight and are tipping over.
Just my honest feedback - please let me know if you want me to remove this comment. Thanks. |

Night Lightby PennyStreetComment: How in the world did you manage this wide angle pic, standing in the middle of a busy road? :) Nice reminders of NYC - the subway numbers, the cabs, the jay walkers, and just the sheer number of people out and about on the streets. Good capture. |

The Hot Cornerby GeneralEComment: Please pm me if you want this comment removed - I'm trying to give my honest feedback.
Feels like a first attempt at capturing night scenes, and as such, has a couple of good things going for it. The starry effect on the lights for one, and no shake for another. Aside from those, I don't see any captivating subject or narrative in the picture. Just another road picture as far as I can tell. I don't even know what to make of the title. The cool flash light in the foreground is at odds with the warm lighting in the rest of the pic as well.
Keep shooting and you will come to enjoy night shooting as you improve gradually. |

Go Jaguars!by BuddyBaumComment: The blue bridge is very cool.
The combination of that with a warmly and dimly lit downtown isn't quite working for me though. Maybe a Black & White conversion?
Also, the water level is a bit too close to the center for me. And the overall detail in the picture isn't up to par - feels like a massive crop of the original capture. Maybe it's just me. Good luck. |

Traffic Signalby MelethiaComment: Nice! The non-vertical composition, the beautiful lens flare top-left, the splotches of color from the traffic lights, the random lines on the road/sidewalk/underbridge - a weird combination that works well for me. A sort of fully intended randomness to the pic. |
