::: Greetings from Critique Club :::

Hi, as requested, here is an indepth critique of your submission.

First Impression - the most important one:
Very cute! and well, it fit the challenge well.

Composition:
One of my pets is composition and is where I make a lot of negative remarks. Here, you have the subject almost centered in the frame. A stronger and ulimately more effective compostion is toe move the subject off center. Move the legs here to the right of the fram with the toes pointed towards center. You end up with a burst of color in a stronger postion in your frame and enhances it against the field of white. Research and practice the Rule of Thirds.

Subject:
Subject is clear and stands out well against the snow.

Technical (Colour, focus, and light):
Colour is good and was essential for this challenge.
Focus seems pretty sharp... although I'd like to see a bit more sharpening in post-process
Light: considering you are shooting color against a see of white, you got the exposure pretty darn good. A tad bit of fill flash would have made it pop just a bit more though.

To grow its vote?:
Composition is king... a slight movement to the side of the frame can make all the difference. Definitely get to know the rule of thirds.

Summary:
Technically well executed and fit the challenge well. A bit more attention to composition could have made this a contender for a ribbon.

Hope to see more from you soon,
Leroy

Quite frankly, one of my favorite captures in this challenge. You've successfully isolated one face in a fairly large crowd. That's not an easy task. Good work. 10!

Ahhh... the nude workshop :-) those are always fun. I'm giving you an 8...

I'd like to see a few things changed. First, I'd prefer the model be in sharp focus and the photographers be further on the edges of the DoF. I believe this would have a better effect of singling her out.

Crop could have been a little tighter on the right and bottom also. There are some distractions in these areas.

Beautiful post processing here... I think you've done a good job of singling out the fearless musician with both an interesting composition and creative post-processing. Initially voted it a 9... coming back for a bump to 10.

I never want to pass the DNMC judgement on any photo, but this challenge was specifically supposed to be candids.

Wow, beautiful capture... love the ambience in lighting and that your subject is truly singled out by the fact that he is silouetted
