leaf.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: I really like the contrast between the leaf and the background. The simplicity works well with the Haiku. |

Like a Ghostby JutildaComment: The other-worldliness in this is strong. Do I almost see an apparition front right? The bird reminds us we are still in the world of the living - just barely. |

14by RetroesqueComment: Lovely composition. It feels a tad crowded on the sides to me, but I get that you are accenting the length of the leaf. The texture in leaf and background is wonderful, and subdued tones are perfect. |

Day 13 - Rejectedby KenComment: Love how you've divided the bottom 2/3s with the diagonal. Beautifully seen and processed. No reject in my book! |

gibraltar point 004.jpgby idpComment: Here's a perfect example of "rule of thirds can go to hell". There are some cases where you simply can't crop foreground or sky and still do the shot justice. As always, beautiful scene, light and processing. |

Galahby GregoryBComment: Galah? Is that in the parrot family? He looks to be of fairly good size. Oh, just found your link. Thanks. Nice capture giving us a good look at his face, colors and plummage. Well done, Greg. |

13-april 08. insects & incidentals. one small dropletby rozComment: OK. Him I don't want to be stung by! So, unless you faked it in (and what a job that would be, but not, I bet, beyond you) he is actually drinking from that drop of water. Did you spray it on him, and them run like Hell? I really hope you're putting together a book of insects, Roz. These are truly magnificent photos. |
