Day 2by fototracyComment: Is this what they mean when they say Art reflects life? lol. Nice, simple composition created on the fly that works very well. Looks like selected desat. Or is that all in color? Now I see in the comments it its not desat. Well done. |

curiousby annigComment: This is absolutely amazing. The pastel colors in her coat are reflected in the flowers and field grasses. I hope you plan to offer this as a print for sale. The only distraction is that whitish area to the lower right - might be a rock. I can see this hanging above the mantle. Very, very nice. |

Dancingby GermaineComment: I was trying recently to figure out the Extract Filter myself, but I didn't have any luck. Guess I need the Big Book of PS. I like the effect you achieved here. The figures stand out nicely against the foliage in the background. I also like the movement you captured - not at all contrived looking. |

Day 2: Cyrusby cginoComment: Yeah, well, as you stated, you can't have both. Either you get to take pictures in the dark indoors or you get depth of field with flash or expensive setups that most of us can't afford, or take outdoor photos. I, personally, don't mind the shallow focus that comes with the faster f stops. I think it can add a lot to the interest of a photograph. There is a time for both. You've used a shallow dof here in the best possible way - we get to see the kitty's beautiful eye and fur very sharply in natural light without the glare of the flash. I'll take that every day. Great conversion to B&W. |

Day 3 - Steel Worksby GregoryBComment: Your processing really brings across the gritty and grimy aspect of this plant. I can almost feel the emissions falling out of the sky. Very dramatic sky which really becomes an element in the composition. Nicely done. |

3 - Amazonian Theaterby BudComment: Wonderful perspective even though, as you say, it doesn't appear to be as large as it really is. On the other hand it seems to tower over the distant architecture - one's eye is confused. Great shot. |

2- Manausby BudComment: You caught the light just right. Great colors and contrast on the cathedral. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this country during your trip. |

Day 2 - Granny Jennieby wickee_oneComment: I love the playful relationship you captured in this. (Great?) Granny obviously enjoys the attention just as much as Cartesia. The border tends to get lost against that beige background which may be why you're not liking it so much. |

Marilynby annigComment: This is probably my favorite. The colors are so vibrant. What a rare treat. Obviously they don't mind having you take their pictures. |
