Cactus Portraitby TranquilComment: Interesting choice of black and white for a cactus. Being experienced with cactus, I think you have done good job capturing this one. That main thing with them are the spines. It is hard to sharpen them just right to avoid the "jaggies". You do have have some here. Judicious use of the smudge tool or selecting out the offending spines before sharpening will reduce the "jaggy" effect. |

Dropping byby asijComment: This is an excellent insect capture. It would be nicer if the noise in the background were removed. NeatImage would work well for that. |

Ben A`an at twilight by geewhyComment: I like the surreal Tolkien feeling to this image. I'll be interested to see how it does in the challenge. |

Rush Hour by moodvilleComment: Excellent stop action capture at a great moment. Great focus and color. The background building building makes it appear there is no where for the biker to land except into it's side. You should be very pleased with this image. It is one of the best of this challenge. |

A New Perspectiveby jjbeguinComment: An absolutely gorgeous image. This could have won the window challenge and certainly is a top image in this challenge. The perspective and reflection make this an awesome capture. The blue tones are the finishing touch. Congrats on a stunning image. |

When You Gotta Go, You Gotta Goby frychiknComment: Nothing wrong with the idea of photographing a toilet. If the idea here was to present it at an angle it was not successful. This just looks like it is not level. Tilting the image closer to 45 degrees would have been a better perspective. A shallower front view with some sexy multicolored women's underwear draped over it would add more interest. |

Aloneby cimarron98Comment: Concept, framing, and use of the rule of thirds are all good in this image. The image quality is not good and that is a major distraction. The tree, your main subject, is not well focused and there appears to be noise in the sky background. I don't know if it is true for this case but a scene like this sometimes is best taken near sunrise of sunset to give it more vibrant lighting and dramatic shadows. The idea of this image is definitely good. |

Moving Out...by sfarrell23Comment: Classic train image taken at exactly the right moment. Even the tilt of the first engine works well. The overall quality of this image is not as good as it might be. Above just to the right of the engine the rocks appear smudged and out of focus different from the rest of the image. That is an effect I sometimes get from NeatImage for noise reduction. The rest if the image seems to suffere from that but to a lesser extent. That is too bad. This is an otherwise good setting and a nice capture. |
