Hidden Paradiseby SJCarterComment: Though it is not a hard and fast rule but if you are creating a natural framing in a picture as you have here that should be in clear focus. Your framing with the tree branches does not work very well. A good example of this type of framing is "Secret Garden" which is the blue ribbon winner in the outside looking in challenge. |

Fishy buisnessby phooztComment: It is always good to try new things and take chances with pictures. There are cases where changes in hue can improve an image and transform it into a work of art. Unfortunately, it did not work in this case. This picture is probably much better in it's original form. I'd chalk this one up as a learning experience. |

Snack Timeby paintintheneckComment: Concept and color are not bad, but poor focus hurts this image and will result in a very low score. Look closely at the upper left and right sides of the blue bowl and you can see that the chips there are in clearer focus than the rest of the image. Looks like the camera tried to focus in the wrong place. This might be because you were shooting to close with macro mode turned on. Proper focus is the single most fundamental thing you want to achieve in every picture you take. |

is a my triangel for snif it the dinerby MAKComment: I'll apologize later if I am wrong and will give a proper review of this image, but this appears to be an obvious attenpt for the "brown" ribbon. It has all the hallmark features... lousy title, ill conceived out-of-focus image and is purposely resized small. |

de Suisseby rebeloComment: This is one of the best images in this challenge and should score very high. It is technically perfect and the DOF is just right. |

Triangle in Motionby vtruanComment: Great action shot capture and the best "triangle" in the challenge. This should be in the running for a ribbon. Kudos for such a great image.
For purposes of printing after this basic challenge is over I'd recommend applying a little burning in of the white water to bring out more detail. 10-20% would be about right. It is slightly overexposed. I'd also recommend dodging to the tune of about 10% on the kyaker in the shaded area. I'd further suggest you do that on a 50% greyscale layer rather than directly on the image layer itself. Dodge and burn is much more natural when done that way. |

Pardon me? by timboydwhiteComment: Good color, great composition and well conceived depth of field. Terrific all the way around. Kudos to you for a fantastic capture. One of the best in this challenge and should be in the running for a ribbon.
The only improvement might be to try and remove the SLIGHT haloing around the right eye, antennae and left leg. With this image that would be very easy to do. |

Geometry in Steel by NeilComment: Exceptionally well composed image. High technical quality. If there is any fault at all, it is that there is a large amount of black on the left side of the image and it has a red hue. |

Ferruginous Hawk by riotComment: It might be just a touch oversharpened, but this is an excellent, high quality image. I hope the triangle in this image is apparent enough to voters to give it the high score it deserves. |

Sentinelsby kirbicComment: Beautiful foreground framing. Nicely done. If I don't miss my guess this is Haystack Rock. That goes along with a similar image of the Peter Iredale I saw earlier. Both appear to have been taken on the same day and close to the same time since the sun position, clouds and sky color are very similar. |
