thanks for the answer. You really need to master the DOF of your lens to be able to do that on the fly...!

like I said. Amazing. Perfect. Don't change anything. the picture is worth more than its score. This is a typical exemple where you should look at the quality beyond the DPC score which has its limitations.

comment related to your "pointers to what doesn't work" question. First, with a 6.94 score, I wouldn't say it has not worked. My take is that it lacks the high contrast tack sharp details that seem to work better on average here (too "dirty"). But at this stage, I would not change anything, unless your only goal is to collect ribbons. Because this photo is at least worth the ones that ribboned - if not better. - as it is. (for one it is perfectly sharp, imho, where it needs to be, no more).
