Bamboozledby jemisonComment: Very, very clever. Seven sticks! I really like this shot. There's not much to judge for technicals (although the flash isn't blown out, which is good), but the idea and execution gets you a 10 from me. |

Rosesby jjusaComment: A picture with some emotion! Thank you!
Roses are a bit OOF, but the face isn't. Good job. |

My Body Clock by manishComment: An interesting take on the challenge. Should've been seven seconds too, perhaps? In any event, good focus on the important bits. |

Figure Eightby photochild405Comment: Hi from the Critique Club,
This shot has great timing and good composition, but unfortunately the actual shot doesn't appear to be planned out very well. Although the trees behind the bubbles provide a good backdrop, they are much too dark and only serve to prove that this shot is quite underexposed. The shot is exposed for the sky, which takes up only a small portion of this image, and creates way too much contrast.
In addition, there is a huge lens flare in the upper left and lower right regions of the image. Although lens flares can be effective, this one appears accidental, and detracts from the subject (the bubbles).
Great timing and composition of the shot. For the future, planning the shot out a bit more (i.e. considering the scene) will improve your score drastically. You clearly have the creativity to produce great shots.

Lunar landscapeby jackal9Comment: Hi from the Critique Club,
This is a great shot. It is well framed, and certainly meets this challenge. I'm very impressed that you were able to freeze the moon so well, especially with such a wide angle lens (it can be difficult to focus when the moon takes up so little of the frame). Colour is good and exposure is perfect, with the pitch black background providing a great backdrop for the subject. Sharpness is good, with no haloes or obvious signs of PP. This is a magnificent crop--just a great job of using the tools you have available to pull off what for many would turn out to be a pixel-ridden or grainy result.
As many have already said, I too am surprised this scored as low as it did.
Regards,
Geoff Ball |

About 3.14by GeneralEComment: I see you only cooked the last one.
A bit of a distracting background, and the rightmost full pie is blown out.
Composition is good (good placement of the pies). |

First 5 and the rest in a pile to fit the photo.by anferhComment: Good take on the challenge, but I would suggest a shallower depth of field (and perhaps a different perspective) to help those five cards stand out more. The odd lighting on the 5 of clubs is distracting, and the numbers on many of the cards are jagged or out of focus. |
