Very nice shot. To me, doesn't really answer the challenge.

Great idea for an indulgent subject. But which yacht is the subject? Composition could be improved, as this is too busy for me, without a clear focal point.

Good idea for a subject. Skin tones seem a bit off to me. Also, the cropping could be improved. Either crop the chin out, or bring the whole face in.

I think the white balance may be off a bit - looks a tad yellow to me.

Cindi,

In looking at your "Show me your portraits!" thread, this is the photo that really stands out for me as a great portrait. It just seems so natural, relaxed and honest. I think in some of your portraits you are trying too hard to be creative and different, and the photos come out looking a little more staged or posed. No doubt this portrait is very much posed, but you don't get that feeling when you look at it - you just see a beautiful young woman looking straight through you into her future. The soft lighting, wonderful skin tones and colors are perfect.

Keep up the great work!

Earl B.

(p.s., I don't want this to read like I am being critical of your more creative shots, because I love them too!)

(p.p.s. Upon further review - I guess it wasn't "your" thread. I hope you don't mind the feedback anyway!)

This is just fabulous. So many elements that you go just right. The only negative is the skin tones went a little green too - but hard to fix within basic editing.
