Survivorby patio127Comment: Pat, love the colors and detail inthe center. The little drop on the right is kinda cool, i like it. We too have had some frost, but I went out looking today and found many bees still working hard. |

Mr. Critterby sherpetComment: Shez I love this shot. The water drops and just a tad more detail in his head are fantastic. I wish we had these things around here in Vt. I would have way too much fun shooting these guys. |

Snarkyby Art RoflmaoComment: Man that is one ugly SOB. However the detail in the skin is fantastic which is where the true beauty of Snarky lies. |

1-oct 08 macro. flower with beeby rozComment: I think I'm more inpressed with the detail in the stem and on the petals than the bee. I know that sounds harsh but it really is not intended that way. I'm just stunned at the detail of those things sticking out of and hanging off of the flower. As for the bee there is tons of detail on my monitor. I love the pollen sticking to his body and how you can almost count how much is there. |

Dillwynia Glaberrimaby GregoryBComment: This is a very beautiful shot. The soft light and bright yellow help to enhance the contrast with the red and green. DOF is perfect for me on this as well, you are drawn only to those buds in front that show their beauty more clearly. |

macro_8471.jpgby HeiSchComment: Great detail on both the feather and the drop of water. i'm very inpressed with how much detail is reflected from the umbrella. |

European Cabbage White (Pieris rapae)by patio127Comment: Hey Pat, good to hear from you. I like the idea you have going on here, my only critique would be to either come in closer or to crop a little tighter and watch the highlights. I think more detail in the wings and letting the flowers go darker would have really added some pop. Overall though I really like it. |

Mr. Elephant Beetleby sherpetComment: Very sharp with great detail right on the head and shoulders? What I mean are the hairs. the blur of his legs I'm assuming are because he is running to get away from you, I like the effect it creates. It makes it real and not static in any way. |

Yellow pepperby hajekaComment: You have some great detail in the seeds and the flesh near the bottom. I'm really bothered by the blown out white part of the stem. you might try coming in closer to the seeds and filling the frame with the seeds. |
