Some might say, not a macro, but the flower heads on this tiny native bush are only about 12mm (1/2 inch) across. After a bit of rain and a couple of really hot spring days these are flowering everywhere through the bush that surrounds our home.

I like the splash of colour of the yellow against the green, although I can't help feeling that the majority of the stem in the lower left is a little redundant. Perhaps it could be cropped a little.

This is a very beautiful shot. The soft light and bright yellow help to enhance the contrast with the red and green. DOF is perfect for me on this as well, you are drawn only to those buds in front that show their beauty more clearly.

Great contrast between the bright yellow and the dark green and blue.

Beautiful spring native floral macro image here Greg, with a balance of perfect DOF, along with the areas in the yellow painted with the tiny red pretty native pea-like wildflowers.

What neat little flowers- almost identical to a wildflower we have here in Summer. I like how you have captured them in context with their natural surroundings >
