I like the sharp clarity against the empty sky. It gives a stark power which, for this sculpture with its particular meaning, is very effective. The only change I might have liked is a shallower DOF to really bring it out alone against the bit of background. That's very minor, though.

This shot speaks to me, with the 4th "normal" section and its content. What *I* take from it is that, despite all of our creativity, talent, yearnings, despairing, we all still have to put our boots on and wade in the muck of everyday reality.

Definitely fits the challenge :) A tighter crop would get rid of many of the distractions, and the lighting is rather harsh.
