Montreal at dusk.by doctornickComment: This is very pretty. I'd love to see those tiny lights just a *touch* sharper, but your exposure is beautiful. The sky is a gorgeous blend of blues. |

Midnight Flamingoby candycornComment: This appears to be a neon sign? Perhaps if the composition wasn't so centered it might be more visually appealing. As it is, I really prefer the shots in the challenge that used a light source from behind to create a silhouette of an object, rather than just seeing the outline created by the sign. |

Monumentalby bpickardComment: Great use of the tiny figures to add perspective to this monument. I especially love the sharpness of the image, and the dynamic composition really adds strength to the shot. Nice work. 9 |

On the top of the worldby heidaComment: Beautiful. Spectacular clouds, perfect composition, and I love the sharpness of the silhouetted ground and figure. The hair blowing in the wind really gives it that little extra something. 9 |

12 Apostlesby dinnComment: Great use of silhouettes and lighting to really play the unusual rock formations in the picture. The clouds add a lot of drama, making this very eye-catching. Beautiful shot. 9 |

Play Shoesby amyleighComment: Excellent shot. You've used the silhouettes and high contrast to create an excellent mood that sets this photo apart. Very nice crop and composition. 9 |

Solitary Singerby mocabelaComment: My only 10 of the challenge. Silhouettes can be used so effectively in conjunction with a minimalist composition and you've really played that to your advantage. The wires are placed perfectly in the frame to keep balance and the bird's silhouette is very sharp and perfectly sideways. This is a really great shot! |

could it be serendipity?:)by GOLNAZZZComment: I don't know about serendipity, but it could be overexposed. The composition is interesting, and the colors would be nice, if not for the blown out whites. Whenever I see whites that bright, my initial reaction is to squint, as if I'm looking into the sun. I think that hurts this shot a lot. |

Warped Pinwheelsby cabaComment: I didn't get to vote on this challenge, but this is a truly beautiful shot, composed very well. I think it's my favorite of the challenge - it would have easily gotten a 10 from me! |

AUCKLAND FROM THE DISTANCEby slonkoComment: This is a beautiful sky and a wonderful graphic created by the window. I like how the window panes echo a rising sun and sunbeams juxtaposed to the real sunbeams behind. However, it BEGS to be perfectly centered or else have the "rays" of the frame coming out from the corner. As it is, the placement of the panes seems haphazard and keeps this from really being as spectacular as it could be. |
