a very nice image, with obviously a great deal of meaning and love for you. however, i think it would be a better photograph if you cropped off the curtains at the top and sides. this would focus the view more (the lights are very visually distracting) and make the leading line fo teh cross much mopre powerful.

this is pretty good -the blur works well. i think the composition could be improved with a square crop, less black on the left side - and black and white. all the colour does really is draw the viewer's eye to the warm yellow in the bakcground. one of the basic parts of colour theory is that warm colours appear to come forward, so, with the blur and yellow behind, it's a rather 'unfocused'.
