Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Editionby AleciaComment: Sexy... you definitely had a good model for this one. In terms of a photo that SI might use for their cover their are some problems here. The lighting here is not optimal... that is one thing that SI is very adament about for their swimsuit edition, a lot of the girl is in shadow, especially her face, which is bothersome. The border probably shouldn't have been added as I don't believe Si uses a border for their magazine, and if they do it's definitely not the thick, also the photo comes so close to the girls head that it almost seems to cut off some of her hair. I am also not sure where the title would go on this magazine cover, or any of the info on what is in the magazine. Good try though... could definitely start to be an inside photo for SI, but prolly not a cover. |

Wildfowl Carving Magazineby camelotnorthComment: Is there actually this magazine? Hehehe... thats funny. The shadow on this is very annoying... I think it takes away from the look of the photo. I would have played with my lighting more. The melding off the floor with the wall is kind of bothersome in the photo... and it seems to come right out of the ducks head. Also it makes the photo look tilted. It might have been nice had you gotten dow to the carvings level or even below and shot.. this looks straight down, or from quite a bit higher. |

Time Out : Londonby hawkidaComment: This is a busy scene... but that could say something about London. I might have moved more to the left so that you didn't have the guy on the left side in black in the photo... having just half of him is sort of distracting.. I might have used a different DOF so that the background was blurry. |

GEO - Discover Switzerlandby ewebComment: Personally I do not consider magazines to be in a horizontal shape... thats just me though. This photo looks slightly tilted to me... but maybe it's on a hillside. Nice scene but I think you could have achieved a similar look by cutting out some of the left side to that back edge of the far hut. |

natureby sanandanComment: Personally I do not consider magazines to be in a horizontal shape... thats just me though. I would have used slightly more DOF, although I like the nonexistant background, I think the picture would have looked a tad bit sharper with just a little more DOF... The main part of the picture looks very centered... I think I might have cut out some of the right side of the photo, to make it a better picture. |

National Geographicby SwashbucklerComment: Nice! I could definitely see this as a National Geographic cover. very nicely done! How much did you crop in for this photo? One thing to look at is that your yellow doesn't quite look right for NG. I'm not taking off for that though. Just being nitpicky. Do you know what kind of birds these are? good job |
