EMERGENCY!!by RuchartComment: Greetings from the Critique Club...
I guess for this to be more sound oriented I would have liked to have seen a racing truck with it's emergency lights going... it makes sense that this was taken at a parade, there is no sense of quick racing, siren pumping action... which to me, makes it just a photo of a fire truck.
Composition wise... not much to say here. it's not dead center which is good. I like the way it's coming towards you but not completely... I'm glad you didn't just shoot it as it went by in a straight line. I think this adds more of a sense of 3d. Good job filling the frame.
One thing that could have improved this shot since you didn't take it as it was rushing past to an emergency would have been paying closer attention to your background. The poles seem to be coming out of, maybe even attached to the truck, especially the back one.
As a photo, not as a sound photo, I like the reflection in the truck... kind of a hometown, fourth of july feel. Very nice.
Your colors are pretty good here, and your lighting seems to be nicely done, I like the fact that the shadow is underneath the truck... and there doesn't seem to be too many harsh shadows on the truck itself.
Overall not a bad photo, I don't think it got sound across, at least not to me, but it's a well composed nice looking photo.

Guns & Ammoby JB707Comment: Personally I do not consider magazines to be in a horizontal shape... thats just me though. I like the red background you put this on... it kind of makes me think of blood but it seems fitting for a gun. Man, I would not want to be hit with one of those bullets? Are those the ones they call "hollowtips"? Whatever they are I'm sure their lethal. I'm sure this could be the front cover of a magazine. |

omniby rogerspaulComment: Dead center of the page from right to left, not extremely interesting. Doesn't fill the frame at all, or even give us a good clear view of the moon. Nothing much to look at here, but at least you made it vertical. |

Mac Addictby daverx7Comment: This is cool... what piece of equipment is this? I love mac's... I think it's the only way to go. I could definitely see this on the cover Mac Addict. I think there is perhaps too much light in the bottom left, but the rest is really good... Nicely done. Hope you don't get ripped on for using a Mac. |

VW Trendsby ColeyComment: Personally I do not consider magazines to be in a horizontal shape... thats just me though. I think one of the powers of VW's are their colors... bright and loud colors are usually what I think of... definitely not black and white, I don't think that was the best choice for this. Cool find with this van though... is it yours? Flower power!! |

carpentryby kenboComment: Personally I do not consider magazines to be in a horizontal shape... thats just me though. Wouldn't carpentry magazine have like houses and hammers and stuff? I'm not familiar with the magazine but having what looks like a religious or authentic piece prolly isn't what one would see on the front of the carpentry magazine... thats just my opinion though and maybe I'm wrong. I don't think you met the challenge here at all... it's basically just a picture of someone elses' art work. Sorry. |

Stuff Magazine - or - Playboyby DrJOnesComment: Wow... lucky you having someone like that to model for you! I could definitely see this on the cover of Playboy... I love how you got down and shot up making her bigger than all of the scrub and stuff behind her. Also the dramatic blue of the sky is awesome. Great lighting... everything is done really well here. You'll prolly get cut down by some for the nudity, but others will rate you up for it. I'm not offended, because I knew there was going to be some playboy stuff like this in this challenge. I don't specifically care for the border, I think it could have done without. Nice job though... and tell your model to call playboy ;-) |

The Great Outdoors (TGO)by Geo_GriffinComment: Yup... I could definitely see this as the front cover, although I would have liked the guy in action rather than just standing there looking at the camera. As it is, it's almost just a snapshot... I think it would have been cool to see him climbing the mountain or something. |

Crafts 'n Things: Soapmakingby qachykComment: The white in this image is almost blinding... I'm not sure why it is, but there seems to be like a halo around the white.... This is interesting... did you actually make these soaps? Thats fun :-) This picture could be the front if you played around with your lighting and stuff a little more... it doesn't look extremely professional right now. |

Parents Magazineby chelseayankieComment: This is cute... I would have liked to have seen it bigger though. There is almost too much light on this photo coming in from the bottom left... and the baby is looking at you like... what are you doing! I'm guessing thats some kind of a slide? I could definitely see a form of this photo as the front cover... it's cute. |
