Fisherman at Dawn — Red River Beachby Bear_MusicComment: I'm not sure if it would have been possible... depending on limits of your camera (dslr/p&s and megs) but I think this photo could have been just as effective with the colors and background, and more effective with your silhouette if you had zoomed in some (or cropped)Pretty though. |

Engagedby cabaComment: Great idea - if they are truly engaged (not just set up) they will definitely cherish this photo. I only wish I could see more of a story from this photo. At first I didn't see the glasses going together, and those do help a bit, but maybe just a few seconds later they kissed? leaning in towards each other would have been really nice - I just feel they are a bit too separated. Nicely done though... good idea, great focus. -9- |

Finalsby lemondsterComment: I like this... I wonder if some people are going to complain that you can see too much for it to be a silhouette... but I think it is perfect! In terms of cropping, I think it might have been nice if you had cropped in quite a bit - I like the way the light highlights the books names and I feel you didn't need the computer in the photo perhaps, or the window above? A tighter crop (quite a bit off the left and the top) - might have been extremely effective and put more emphasis on the books, and also helped to uncenter the boy (self portrait?) either way. Nice job! With a crop would have been a 10 but I'm giving an 8 (because it also bothers me that it is tilting slightly) |

Peeping Tomby soupComment: Please please please don't have added that frame in photoshop! this is great :-) I really like it - it gives you an odd feeling. I even like the gloomy sky. I just really hope the frame was taken at the same time. |

Anyone Home?by Judith PolakoffComment: I feel this could have been effective if it was a real bird, I like the softness of the curtain and the colors here, but the fact that it is pretty obviously a fake bird, really detracts from the photo for me. It just looks too contrived. Compositionally, lighting wise and color wise if you had a real bird I would have given you a very high score, but I am all for realism, I apologize, it just really bothers me. I also like the hammock (?) in the background. Still a 7 but with a real bird - prolly would have gone 9 or 10 |

You go first!by 2ShayComment: Playing around with my browser a bit just to try some cropping, I almost feel like it might have been nice to have more off the top, just slightly leaving a bit of the tube (?) above the circle, giving it a slightly longer than rounder feel? This is cute... I can't tell - are these real or stuffed dogs? No matter what I like the photo. Good job with the exposure. |

Colonnadeby ArtanComment: Did you try this in black and white? it might have been more effective? Also although you might have gotten marked down for it, I think in this case, slightly blowing out the light might outside might have looked slightly more artistic. Just some ideas to try. |

Dogzillaby scalvertComment: This is adorable!! I'm not sure how you did it... I"m guessing that everything but the dog is a photograph? But it is very well done, and extremely cute. Only thing I might mention is the reflection in the glass near the center of the photo is a bit distracting... otherwise I like it. Nicely done. |
