Sunrise 2by gpureticComment: Thanks for choosing one of my image, very flattering :)
You did a nice job here, however, I'd like to point out where you missed the mark (difference in flower put aside):
- light on the flower is from above front left instead of front right;
- the orange light on the backdrop is totally missing;
I guess you didn't have access to the proper lighting equipment (or did you just not read my comments under the image?)
- crop is not square
- top of image is too dark
- you could have cloned out some of the imperfections |

Orchid On The Steinway / Reprise by h2 by BastaComment: Thank you for chosing my image, much appreciated :)
You did a very good job here, I'd say the image is easily recognizable for other viewers, too.
However, there is a difference (color of the flower aside): the surface seems to be a mirror, not a black material - the reflection is as clear as the original object and even the water (as opposed to my image) has a distinct reflection. Lighting is a bit less directional but more even.
Anyway, the best so far. |

Bubbles in Blueby DudskiComment: Dang, I also tried that but didn't succeed. Your's is almost perfect (should be flipped horizontally). |

Another Two Piecesby mefnjComment: Recognizable even without the image title. Good lighting, color is close enough. However, crop and DOF are quite different, POV is a bit to low. |

Contemplating the Infiniteby Yo_SpiffComment: has some similarities with Jason's image, but not enough to be considered a Déja Vu. You couldn't possibly influence the clouds, but could at least have composed the shot in the same way (person at right third). Also, the most valuable aspect of the original is the water reaching to the lower edge of the image and the resulting reflection of sky and child. |

Middleton Dollby tnunComment: Unfortunately this lacks all the class Deb's original has. Why didn't you try it in color at the least? Why no tears? |

Tribute to/ alone in the light by indigo 997by LawtonComment: Ok, it's a tulip with water drops on black background, but that's where the similarities end.
First of all, your image lacks the simplicity and elegance of the original - mostly due to the excessive border, but also due to the higher contrast; Your lighting is quite different directionwise; the aspect ratio and the single leaf going into the opposite direction to the stem makes the overall composition of the original much more pleasing. |

Second Generationby JudiComment: Not sure if found the original image. It has some slight similarities with IreneMs image "Lying in a puddle", but IMO not enough to be considered a Déja Vu. |
