Contemplationby daevansComment: Environmental portrait, I like the idea. If anything, I find the colors and processing a bit too intense. Given there is so much in terms of contrast to the image, particularly in the exposed roots and shadows, I wonder how a BW version would have worked. |

Focusedby mrbig65Comment: Urban portrait. A bit on the dark side. I wonder if making the image a bit brighter by increasing luminosity or playing around with the channels mixer could have improved contrast without excessive posterization. If the intention was to capture the urban environment as well, posing the subject in slow shutter speed in front of the passing cars could have worked quite well. |

Contemplationby gg3rdComment: I like the pose and the subject. I feel a softer light and less harsh contrast would have worked better. |

Mother of Thirteenby LN13Comment: Hello madam :) Nice expression. I wonder if a slight boost in brightness would have helped. |

Intimate Portraitby LydiaComment: Nice high key. I wonder if it would have been better with more contrast in the bubbles, or perhaps it's just my monitor having trouble showing subtle shades of gray. Illumination is very even works well with low contrast. I am unsure whether a slightly lighter shadow under her neck would have worked better or not. |

It's in the catchlightsby AllenPComment: Good expression, professional lighting and a very photogenic subject. Personally I am not too fond of this kind of postprocessing, so popular with magazines, but it's full of presence, very well done and I am sure many will just love it. A very good job of retaining detail on the zippers. I think if they were not visible and the crop was slightly tigher on the sides, still retaining negative space on the left, it would make for a more personal portrait. But it's not a criticism, just a thought. Good job! |

Old warrior by LevTComment: The subject and pose are both very expressive and the pendant suggests something about a story. Given the choice of going for high detail all over the image, I feel the out of focus little finger is a bit out of place. To be honest, this kind of processing and contrast are well over the top for my taste, but that's just my taste, I am sure many will love it. |
