Well, the stroke of genius was inverting the image. Makes it look like you are looking down from above on a dense planetary cloud cover. I would never have thought to do that :).

well done. the framing and head angle work very well. good separation of hair and bg. i wonder if u could have minimized light bleed a bit on the side of the head and face by blocking off part of the light

a lovely kitty .. unfortunately her dark color doesnt really pop on that bg, and esp not backlit. it's a bit oversharpened too .. but it's a lovely lovely kitty :)
