A few critical suggestions on the image: (1) I find the cropping to be distracting -- I'd like to see all of the rice, and all of the dish... Having the chopsticks go off the edge _might_ be OK, and having the mat go off _is_ OK... I just wish to see all of the actual food, in this image. (2) it might also be nice if the depth of field were slightly deeper. Finally, (3) it seems that the colors look more muted than I imagine they would actually be -- it would be nice if they would really pop, particularly the reds of the peppers and the orange of the (beautifully done) carrot-flower.

Still, it looks tasty. I hope you enjoyed eating it. :-)

wow a DSLR that does multiple exposures... very nice (and a very nice use of that feature, as evidenced by your ribbon). I wish Canon would add that feature... I've been missing it.

This shot, especially as titled, would do well with a square crop, I'm thinking. It would also be nice if the gems had more in the way of highlights. I like the theme, though.

I had the thought, though, while looking at it, that having the 9 main dots (3 rows of 3, starting in the upper left) all fully in frame, and horizon lines match to the horizontal orientation of them, might make this even more impressive.
