I liked this shot a lot. I came back to take one last look. Good composition, nice detail and sharp. The ONLY thing I would change is the background. Having said that, it didn't stop me from giving this one of my highest votes. Great job!

Great shot, I came back to take one more look. Great model. The lighting on the hair and face is superior. I think this is maybe the best shot of the contest. I'm bumping this up (I had given it a 9) because I like it that much. You even managed to salvage that eye that must've been fairly dark under that shadow. I love this shot.

Great detail, great range of tones, the cigarette gives it a little 'life' and helps nudge it up past a traditional studio shot- I think that's what you have to do to ribbon- you have to take a chance and try something a little different.

The eyes are great. They really add to the image. The composition add to the shot. You have a couple of stray hairs but it doesn't detract from the image. This is one of my favorites and I wanted to let you know how good I thought it was before the challenge ended. Great photo.

Nice composition. Good range of tones. I ranked this high. I wonder what it would be like framed tighter- from the hands up? I don't know but having so much going on takes away from the model- who is very good. I like this shot.

This is a classic portrait. Not a studio shot, it has 'life' that often gets lost in set-piece traditional head shots. You were also able to bring so much of the detail out that it really adds to the shot. Great range of tones. I've looked at this a bunch of times and I'm bumping this up. Great image!
