Attack of the Giant Crows

I gave this shot a 5. I know that you probably were excited to capture the two birds attacking the child, but overall the sepia tone and overall technical quality of the shot are somewhat low. There are signs of over sharpening after your resize and the sepia treatment has introduced noise in the sky. If this were for the member's challenge, I'd suggest cloning out the ducks in the water and perhaps double check your brightness and contrast on the shot. I realize you may be going for a Hitchcock effect on this, but in my opinion the treatment appears to be trying to mask flaws instead of enhance an image with intent.

I like the use of angles in this image. The sharpness of the broken arrow in contrast to the others is very well done. The background draws the eye away from your main subject a little, but we can't be chopping down trees now can we? Nice image. 8 -danny

I like the negative space on the left. Adds an artistic flare here. Nice details on the fur and whiskers. Overall nice shot although the DOF isn't really being used to single out a main subject. 8 -danny

The Melaphone

I like this shot. I would like to see a tighter crop to loose the brightness on the upper right of the bell. The leading lines are fun in this shot. I also appreciate the simpleness of the black with the white sheet music. 8 -danny
