Mountain Lion by moodvilleComment: Excellent sharp capture. I like the full tonal range within this shot. Nothing is over or underexposed. The fur is detailed and sharp. The catchlight in the eyes and the expression of this cat would strike fear into anyone who might approach. In my top 5 of shots! -danny |

Doesn't matter, I like this shot!
The sunset with tree

your friend till the bitter endby PhileineComment: Although I'm not sure if the background was blurred in PS, the overall shot is strong. Good sharp capture, the eyes are sharp and powerful. One of my top 10 shots. Good work. |

Famishedby connieComment: My highest score given. This shot to me is excellent. By having the human in the shot you've taken it from being just an ordinary snapshot, to something artistic. Very moving shot. -danny |

Red Dragonby JackoComment: Jacko? This is a decent little shot :-p Could use a bit more DOF though, maybe try closing down the aperture some :-))
Actually the centered composition and the overall brightness of the shot are 2 things I would have adjusted. It seems just over saturated or something. -danny |

Goldfish Smoothieby afarlandComment: Less is more. I think you just needed to include the blender jar with the contents to make this statement. Your sheet in the background should be ironed or purposefully folded and wrinkled to break up the background. The light is hot, but you did well in trying to backlight the jar so as to minimize the reflection. - 6 |

'Free Range' Spaghettiby FalcComment: Interesting idea, and executed pretty well. I think you have included a little too much negative space on the left and the highlights on the top of the can are a little strong. The colors are good and the image is sharp. I know I'm not the first to mention the fingernail... little things can make or break a shot. - 6 |

Granny Smith's Wild Sisterby tyt2000Comment: This made me smile. Your cropping is a little tight on the right and there may be some motion blur. The shot isn't bad, it just may need a different crop or some fill light on the right. - 6 |

Jelly Baby Baguetteby PixelstateComment: Very well done studio shot. May be a bit hot under the plate drawing my eye away from the sandwiches, but overall nice. The composition is strong and compliments the idea. It's hard to make out that these are gummie bears though. Did you try adding one or two on the plate to bring the idea across more? Good shot. - 6 |

Star Fruitby BudComment: I see you're trying to get a 'studio' feel to the shot. The lone star on the blue cloth tightly cropped in doesn't bring the viewer in. Your composition should want to make the viewer want to eat this fruit, but as it is, it seems out of place. Try including some items or a whole fruit in the shot as well to balance out what we're seeing. - 6 |
