Canon digital photography - for the beauty in lifeby ssComment: Very surprisng to me that you placed no higher than 15th? In my view the model adds to the enjoyment of the shot. Keeping her out of focus keeps the attention on the product, but her presence adds to the enjoyment of the ad and grabs your attention amongst all of the clutter in the advertising world. Keep up the good work. |

Canon digital photography - for the beauty in lifeby ssComment: Nice idea. I think the title works perfectly with the model in the background. The short depth of field keeps the focus (no pun intended) on the primary subject. Nice composition, lighting, and exposure. I rate this photo a 10, |

Absolut Inebriation.by GordonComment: It took me a while to figure out what was going on here. Nice effect with the shaking monitor. The bottle almost looks like it is floating in air. I like your technique here. Good job. |

Under the Pierby langdonComment: I like it. It really gives a feeling of life around the pier. You have controlled the depth of field to draw attention to the most interesting portion of the scene. Did you get wet taking the picture? |

The Longest Mileby CoreyComment: You definitely got the sense of looking up. Very dramatacic shot. However, as a black and white photo it seems the gradations are too severe and the number of blown highlights keeps it from scoring very high. You are on to some good ideas here. Good job. |

The Oppressor?by mykolearyComment: Cool. Very powerful image. Greyscale works well here. Great depth of field and sharpness. Very natural looking. I can imagine the sculpturer "chipping away" to create this job. Keep it up! |

Orange Symphony by FranziskaLangComment: I would call this artsy. I could imagine a blowup of this photo hanging on a wall in a very contemperary office suite. You have done a good job in framing this scene. You caught the light just right for the subject. The contrast seems to strike a nice balance in this photo. Good job. |
